The construction of the ultra-modern Nairobi Railway City is ongoing. The project was initiated by the former president Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta. Few days ago, the current CS for Transport Prof. Kipchumba Murkomen made a familiarization tour at Nairobi Railways where he led the group of officials in a ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of the Nairobi Railway City.

The United Kingdom (UK) government have pledged to fund the ongoing rehabilitation of the Nairobi CBD train station with KSh 11.9 billion. This is going to be a big win for the residents of Nairobi as the project is going to create more job opportunities.
