A middle aged man committed suicide in Mbuvo, Kathonzweni in Makueni county.
The man who was not identified immediately works at Kenya medical training college in Mbuvo.
The incident was confirmed by area chief Dominic Nguyq who said that the man had been having mental issues and has been on drugs.
However, he, ran out of drugs a few days ago and people stopped seeing him.
His body was later found dangling from a tree at Mbuvo Nzau a kilometer from Mbuvo.
"There were erwoorts he was using drugs for his mental issue, he is said to have visited the police for help to get drugs and the KMTC management had been contacted. It is not yet known if the management took any action or not because that was on Friday," said the chief.
"His body was found three kilometers from the market. The place is called Mbuvo Nzau," he added.
He said police officers arrived at the scene after being notified and took the body to Makueni referral hospital mortuary.
