The residents of the Kiganjo estate in Thika are in deep shock after a young couple allegedly tortured their 8months old baby. Sources say that the couple, who are married for 3 months, has two other children. The mother is just 18-years old.
Their neighbor overheard the baby crying and went to see what was happening. She could not believe her eyes when she entered the house of the young couple. The baby was lying on the bed, crying painfully. The neighbor then started screaming for help and her voice raised an alarm to other neighbors.
The police were called also and they arrived swiftly at the scene. They got hold of the couple, which was on a mission to escape. They could not explain why they had to do this to their blood.
The baby was been admitted at Thika Level 5 Hospital with a broken leg and hand, human bites on the cheeks, and some deep scratches at the back.
