Kapsoit Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) Hon. Paul Chirchir alias'Tarimbo' has launched The Hustler Empowerment programme that seeks to sensitise the youth during this Covid-19 period. Several persons have suffered since the onset of the pandemic last year.
With several youth targeted, MCA Chirchir launched a free driving school at Kapsoit Township. This seeks to benefit all the people across the Ward irregardless of the gender. Graduates from this driving school will receive their driving licenses. Motorcycling education is also part of the initiative.
'Bodaboda' operators subsequently passed through a sensitisation programme. Through this, they were taught on the importance of complying with the law as well as maintaining road safety. Motorcycle accidents have continued to rise over the past few years. This has in most cases been fueled by reckless riding and overspeeding.
Further, through this initiative, up to a maximum of seven ladies were sponsored to give access to rising opportunities.
