"Kazi Kwako" CS Matiang'i Receives A Message From Nyamira MP Stating the following.

After a police officer attached to Kabete Police Station shot and killed six persons before dying himself early Tuesday morning, Borabu MP Ben Momanyi reacted.

Benson Imbatu, the officer, shot and killed his wife, then set fire to their home in Mountain View Estate. He then went on a shooting spree, killing five more people.

Before shooting himself with an AK47, he also critically injured two other people, who are currently being treated at the Kenyatta National Hospital.

Momanyi expressed his condolences to the affected families in response to the disturbing allegations, claiming that the officer may have been suffering from mental health concerns.

"I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of those killed in the Kabete incident. In our institutions, mental health should be prioritized "He sent out a tweet.

The Wiper party MP requested that Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i establish an effective guidance and counselling program within the National Police Service, citing the fact that officers face a variety of social, psychological, and occupational challenges in their line of duty, all of which have a significant impact on their mental health.
