Former director of police operations Henry Barmao who retired last year has passed on while receiving treatment at the Nairobi hospital.
This has been confirmed by the family who noted that the late had been unwell and admitted at the Nairobi hospital for quite some time.
Henry Barmao has passed on barely a year after he retired from the Kenya Police Service where he had served for a long period of time having risen to top positions.

His last posting was at the Vigilance House, where he served as the director of operations and he was replaced by Nairobi regional head of police operations, James Mwaniki.
Henry Barmao was sent on compulsory leave together with other senior police officers after having attained the mandatory retirement age among them 15 senior police officers.
Kenyans have overwhelmingly joined in wishing his family the very best as they come to terms with the death of their loved one.
