The ineffective roundabout is confusing many motorists who sometimes may want to make a turn on the road. It is also causing traffic snarl up along Mombasa and therefore, it hinders smooth movement of traffic.
According to relevant sources of information, formerly there was a better U-turn at GM Kalongolongo roundabout that facilitated smooth flow of traffic along Mombasa. Currently, the U-turn has been closed and it is not in use. From the photos shared by Ma3Route today, huge concrete boulders can be seen to have been used to close the U-turn.
The closure of the U-turn is causing alot of traffic congestion on Mombasa road and it interferes with quick delivery of goods and services.
Concerned people have raised an alarm and are now requesting the Kenya National Highway Authority (KeNHA) to redesign the GM Kalongolongo roundabout so that the U-turn can be put in use to make the work of motorists easy.
The screenshot below shows how different people have responded to the GM Kalongolongo roundabout menace.
