A middle-aged man who is alleged to have been among the robbers who assaulted and injured a woman at his home in Leporosi village in the Trans Mara area in Narok County two days ago has been killed by civilians. The man was interrogated in the village of Olo Sagaram in the Trans Mara area after he was attacked by locals who suspected him of being among the robbers who attacked a local woman.
One of the robbers has been arrested following the raid and is assisting detectives in reporting the incident. The police commander has condemned the killings and called on the public to end the practice of taking the law into their own hands. The police commander has also told the public that no one knows the whereabouts of their relatives or what they are doing and therefore no one should take the law into their own hands.
His body was taken to a mortuary at Nyamache Hospital in neighboring Kisii County.
