Nine people Killed by a Lorry Transporting Cane at Rodi Kopany

Nine people have been killed after a truck transporting cane rolled at Rodi Kopany.

Through her official Facebook page, Homabay women representative Gladys Wanga three members of the same family were also killed. 

"Homabay County is in mourning. We have this evening lost nine lives as a truck transporting cane rolled and killed 3 members of the same family at Rodi Kopany. My heart goes out to the families that are this evening in shock following the sudden loss of loved ones. May God comfort you in ways that only HE knows,"

Wanga is a staunch supporter of the deputy president William Samoei Ruto's presidential bid come 2022.

Kenyans used her post to send their messages of condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. 

Joseph Akumu says "There shouldn't be these condolence and rip messages any more. These trucks and tractors have killed over half a million people in western and nyanza regions.
