A family has been thrust into mourning after five members were killed in a grisly road accident after the vehicle they were traveling in collided with a truck.

A report by KTN TV indicates that the accident took place at Kenol, Murang'a County on Nyeri-Nairobi highway.
The victims were heading for a burial, when the accident occurred.
According to witnesses, the vehicle the victims were travelling rammed a stalled truck at Kenol. The impact of the collision made the vehicle to roll several times.
Reports indicate that the five victims lost their lives on the spot.
Police said that one survivor who sustained serious injuries was taken to the nearby hospital for treatment.
The bodies of the victims were moved to the local mortuary while the mangled-up vehicle was towed to a nearby Police Station.
Kenyan roads have been described as exceptionally dangerous for vulnerable users like children, out of whom a significant number of them are among those killed and injured.
