Chilling Details Emerge About Juma's Death

AFC Leopards ardent fan Onyango Juma has been murdered. The father of ten and husband to two wives was killed in his home yesterday night. Leaders across the divide including William Ruto, Musalia Mudavadi, Raila Odinga and Wycliffe Oparanya are among Kenyans who have sent their condolence messages to the family.

Mumias West OCPD Stephen Muoni has released a statement over the same. According to the police boss. Juma was hacked to death by unknown assailants in his rural home in Bukaya village in Mumias.

Juma's sister, Caroline Auma, has attributed his brother's death to land feuds within the family.

" Two people stormed into our home at around 9 PM on Wednesday and hacked him to death. There has been a dispute over this land we have occupied since we were born, " Caroline said

Caroline linked the murder to Juma's elder sister. She said that her son had threatened to kill Juma over the past. Juma is the one with the documents of the land, something that does not augur well with his sister.

" The land documents are currently in Juma's name and that doesn't sit well with the elder sister. Her son has openly threatened to kill Juma in the past and they have had altercations over the land in the past, "she said.

" We identified the nephew as one of the attackers and he is currently in custody. We are currently finalizing the reporting of the matter here at the police station then we will know what next. We are very sad as the family. "

Juma was seen carrying a placard at a past football match in Bukhungu stadium in Kakamega reading: "Be aware, my land is not for sale. Fight Corona not me.Another one was reading; " My life is in danger. "

Juma was previously working in Nakuru as a newspaper vendor before relocating to Mumias.
