An autopsy performed at Jocham Hospital morgue revealed that the body of the deceased had no injuries.
“He had no visible soft tissue wounds on his body. This is a clear indication that he was never assaulted. We suspect he was drunk and threw himself inside the swimming pool with no idea of swimming,” Msambweni police boss Fanuel Nasio told the press.
Otsianda, who had accompanied friends for a small trip in South Coast lost his life on Sunday after the pool turned out to be a death trap.
The deceased alongside his four friends had visited Gisimba Villas on November 13 for few days.
But in a sad turn of events, the same day they visited the hotel in Diani, his lifeless body was discovered at the hotel’s swimming pool.
Preliminary investigations at the villa revealed that the, the five were listening to loud music while enjoying their drinks at the pool.
