According to a facebook post by Alber Bitok who is a resident from the region,it is speculated that the boy may have slipt off while taking shower and fell into the river where he was overwhelmed by the raging waters of the river.
It is alleged that the body was discovered by other boys who were going to the same river to take bath.They were astonished to find a lifeless body being swayed by moving water from.one side to the other.They alerted the neighbours who visited the scene.
Police officers from Kaptumo police post have been alerted and are expected to arrive at the scene shortly.
Heavy rainfall is currently being experienced in Nandi county and other neigbouring regions .This has seen many rivers being flooded thus posing a great danger to its users.
Parents are advised to take care after their children and avoid sending them across rivers where they can be carried away by flooded rivers.
