DCI Officers Arrest Man Who Vandalized Safaricom Equipment Worth Ksh 2 Million

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations DCI Officers have today arrested a man believed to have vandalized Safaricom equipment worth Ksh 2 Million in Muranga. Lenny Nga'nga is believed to have been masquerading as a Safaricom employee precisely as an engineer on a maintenance mission only to steal.

His thieving nature led him to gain access to a transmitter on a Muranga station. Through the DCI official twitter handle it's described that Lenny convinced the guard to let him in and after a while the guard became suspicious of the man's activities. The guard immediately alerted the police whom rushed to the scene however the suspected vandalist had fled the scene by jumping over the fence and speeding off in his car.

This promted a chase not witnessed by the area residents and after a while police in their landcruiser finally made a close at him. His cars registration number being KDP 522P a Suzuki Alto Model. After a kilometers chase by police past Saba Saba, the suspect surrendered. It's here that the police upon further search in the suspects vehicle that they discovered other equipments suspected to have been stolen elsewhere. The suspect will be arraigned in court tommorow.
