[Photos]Flash Floods Washes Away Kisumu Miwani Road; Motorists Advised To Use Alternative Routes.

The weather has been very unpredictable these days as the month of September which is expected to be abit sunny is different and various regions are experiencing heavy downpour. On the news hitting the airwaves just now is that, the diversion road at Miwani town on the Kisumu to Miwani road has been washed away by flash floods.

According to the Kenya National Highways Authority, motorists enroute to Kisumu- Miwani- Chemelil road have been advised to use alternative routes after floods cleared off the diversion road where by there is ongoing construction of the box culvert at Miwani town.

This has neccisted closure of the road for two days to allow for the repair and restoration of the diversion. Motorists are advised to use alternative route of Chemelil - Awasi - Muhoroni. KeNHA regrets the inconvenience that may have been caused as it endeavours to provide quality roads for better connection.
