Truck drivers have been experiencing a hard time on the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway after thugs have been attacking them. The drivers have been attacked for a while and not much is being done, according to them, by the police to protect them.
The driver of the above pictured truck is said to have been attacked by bandits last night in Voi. The truck driver survived the ordeal but with serious injuries and had to be rushed to the hospital.
The motive of the bandits was to steal the valuable items on transit in the vehicle and this they managed to do. The driver was lucky to walk away from the incident with his life yesterday night.
From the report that we have received, it's alleged that this is actually the fourth attack in a few weeks. The pictures of the driver who was injured are too graphic for us to display here at this moment.
Drivers using the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway are urged to be careful especially at night. They should be alert and be on the look out at all times for these bandits on the busy highway.
