A total of sixty (60) detectives from the Special Service Unit (SSU) that was disbanded by His Excellency President William Ruto have finally been re-deployed by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) boss Amin Ibrahim Mohammed.

In a statement dated December 6, Mr Amin has ordered the detectives to report to their new workstations. Reports indicate that the investigators have been given new ranks in the DCI offices across the country. They are all expected to report to their workstations on or before December 13, 2022.

On that note, the DCI boss has issued tough orders to Senior Police bosses across the country with regard to the operations of the re-deployed cops. He has directed that the investigators are assigned new roles based on their new ranks in wherever they have been re-deployed.

Further, the DCI boss also ordered the Regional Criminal Investigations Officers (RCIO), County Criminal Investigations Officers (CCIO) and the Operations and Logistics Officers (OLO) to ensure that the detectives have reported to work by the aforesaid date, December 13.

“Ensure proper handing/taking over is done and the officers are to report to their new stations. Confirm departure and arrival,” Amin ordered.
