Many have been asking why there is a jam on the busy highway this early as they snake their way to work on time but the traffic jam won't let them.
According to reliable sources, the traffic jam is caused by the fact that Nairobi School is closing today and it is situated along the busy highway.
The school calendar for the first term of the 2020 year ends today and many schools are closing so expect a lot of kids travelling throughout the day.
At Waiyaki Way however, many of the children's parents have resorted to come to the school with private cars this morning.
The parents are picking their children up from school and there is not enough parking to accommodate all of them on the small stretch of road in the school gate.
This is what is causing the major traffic jam on the busy highway this morning and Motorists will have to be more patient.
