The alleged charges against him are; computer misuse and cyber crimes act of 2018 contrary to sec 23 of the said act and ￼the same act contrary to section 27.
The charges are based on the Governor, Alfred Mutua's story, in which a young lady claimed to have been impregnated by the governor, who has since turned his back on her.
The DCI accused the blogger, famously known as tea master, for being a serial fraudster. He stated that the blogger blackmails prominent personalities with the intend of benefitting financially by tainting their images online and demanding money not to post scandalous information.
He further alleged that Obare recruits young ladies to stalk prominent personalities and coaches them on how to ensnare the victims into traps before extorting huge sums of money from them.
The blogger has been arrested alongside his co-accused, Desy Oduor Achieng, whom the DCI accuses of being coached by Edgar to stalk Dr. Alfred Mutua with the hope of extorting ksh.10million from him.
