A house help in Malindi lost her life yesterday after her employer’s dog attacked her savagely when she was cleaning the house and compound.
The dog, a South African Boerboel breed, came running towards Roselyn Nafuna when she opened the door leading to the porch; it jumped on her viciously and bit into her skin her several times before one of the night guards heard her wails and rushed to contain the muscular dog.
According to the guard, the deceased was shaken but insisted she was fine and turned down the offer to be walked into the house by him.
Unfortunately, when Anthony Katana, the day guard, reported to work, he found Nafuna on the floor, dead. Detectives established that the deceased’s body had multiple wounds which might have caused his death, however, this will be confirmed after they receive a post mortem report from the Star hospital mortuary.
Investigations have officially been launched to find out whether this was planned, an accident or a case of negligence on the side of the employee.
