Just In: Mass Shooting At Children's Daycare Left 30 Dead In Thailand[Video]

A police spokeswoman confirmed that a mass shooting at a daycare for children in a district in northeastern Thailand left more than 30 people dead.

Police said in a statement on Thursday that the victims included both children and adults and that a manhunt was underway for the shooter, who was a former police officer.

According to Police Major General Achayon Kraithong, the shooter started firing early in the afternoon near the town's center, Nong Bua Lamphu.

He claimed to know nothing more than that 30 individuals had died. The shooter killed himself after the incident.

One police officer, two instructors, and 23 students were among the 26 fatalities, according to a regional public affairs office official.

As of right now, we know there have been more than 31 fatalities, many of them youngsters. According to Cheng, a suspect was pursued from the scene in a white pickup truck. The suspect was a former Thai police officer who had been relieved of duty, according to Thai media.

The families of the deceased were condoled by Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha, who also directed all agencies to treat the injured as soon as possible.
