Kenya Meteorological Department has warned Kenyans living in the mentioned counties over heavy rainfall that is expected over few places as from tomorrow until Wednesday next. Detailed regional weather forecast period indicates that the Highlands West of Rift Valley and South Rift Valley including Kisii, Nyamira, Nandi, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia, Kericho, Homabay and Bungoma Counties are expected to receive heavy downpour as from day one of the weather forecast period until the last especially during the afternoon hours.
Mornings are likely to be generally sunny. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are expected to occur over few places during the forecast period. Moreover, nights are expected to receive partly cloudy but occasional showers may occur over few places.
Maximum temperatures are likely to rise to about 29 degrees Celsius in Kisumu. Minimum temperatures are expected to be below as 9 degrees Celsius.
The North and Central Rift Valley including Trans Nzoia, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, West Pokot, Baringo and Nakuru Counties are expected to receive rains as from tomorrow onwards. Report indicates that several places are expected to receive rains.
