I'm Feeling Unsafe With Kamau, Woman Disclosed To Her Friend 3 Days Before She Was Beheaded By Lover

A 30-year-old Murang'a man slashed to death his lover on Wednesday morning before angry villagers in turn lynched him.

The unfortunate incident took place in Nyaga village, Gatanga, Murang'a county.

Kamau Ngugi ambushed Mary Mwihaki while she was milking at her employer's farm. He then chopped off her head using a sharp panga.

Villagers who heard screams emanating from her employer's home dashed to the scene and found the woman had been beheaded.

The angry residents managed to corner the suspect and stoned him to death.

Preliminary investigations show that the two had been lovers but of late the woman had started running away from the relationship.

On the other hand, Kamau is said to have suspected her of having an affair with another man.

Mwihaki's close friend said that on Sunday she (Mwihaki) told her that she was feeling unsafe with Kamau and she was fearing for her life.

Mwihaki said that Kamau called her requesting that they meet and talk which she agreed to. She told her friend that she feared something bad might happen. Her friend urged her not to go see him.
