Murang'a county has been on the limelight for low development for sometime now. After no tangible development was recorded since 2003, the county has something to smile. Connecting Murang'a interior to South Murang'a is now the new completed bypass.
A new highway which connects Murang'a road to Meru highways at Kenol through Makuyu and through to the Garissa highway. The road opens up south Murang'a, section if Gatanga constituency to development as it is the first road of bitumen standards in the region.
The road which runs from Mbombo in Maragua runs all the way to Gatiiguru in Gatanga. The construction has been ongoing for a long time ranging to seven years. It's completion is a big relief to motorists who had to endure bad and dusty roads. The road which was commissioned by the CS for transport Hon Macharia is now under use and the contractor has left after successful work. Farmers are now enjoying efficient transportion of their agricultural produce to the market.
