CCTV Footage of The Murdered Returning Officer For The IEBC Is Recovered By Police

The DCI orders the police to release the CCTV footage of the murdered IEBC returning office.

According to CCTV evidence that the investigators have since been able to access, IEBC returning officer Daniel Mbolu Musyoka was seen conversing to a boda boda operator at 10:30 am on Thursday of last week. He is in the vicinity of a bar in the Tassia neighborhood of Embakasi.

A little while later, he is observed speaking on a cellphone before turning and returning to the opposite end of Church Road. The boda boda driver in the video is being sought after by investigators. This will assist in solving the mystery surrounding the returning officer's disappearance and subsequent murder. Additionally, they are reenacting Musyoka's journey from his home to the tallying facility. They want to know how Musyoka traveled from the embakasi east constituency tallying center to Church Road and where his body was found.

This is significant since the returning officer may have been strangled to death, according to the results of the autopsy performed on Wednesday. The results reveal that he has blood force trauma injuries to his shoulder as well as bruises on his legs, arm, and shoulder. His body was sampled, and the government chemist conducted additional testing.

Following the authorities' acquisition of CCTV footage depicting the final moments at Church Road in the Tassia neighborhood of Embakasi, new information has come to light that will help solve the murder. The DCI has ordered the national police agency to move the dossier for action within seven days and to expedite the investigations into Mbolu's killings.

We appreciate you reading this story, and now let's pray for justice for his loved ones, friends, and the comrades with whom he served. Be careful.
