The mantle to spearhead pastoral programs for the disciplined forces for the coming two years, was yesterday handed over to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
This follows a thanksgiving ceremony conducted on Sunday at Lady Lourdes cathedral in Machakos County.
During the ceremony the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) got the mantle conducted on a rotational processes, from the Administration Police Service officials.
During the thanksgiving ceremony led by Bishop King’oo Wambua attached to machakos diocese, senior most officers from all the disciplined forces were advised to remain steadfast in their roles and in their service to the members of the public.
The pastoral program houses all the seven disciplined forces which comprises of the Kenya Police, Administration Police, DCI, Kenya Prisons, Kenya Wildlife, Kenya Forest and the National Youth Service.
Many Kenya believe this will help to reform them. Independent Policing Oversight Authority - IPOA KENYA, Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions Kenya and the Kenya Judiciary have all tried and failed.
