Boda boda operator, Richard Nyonga Kufwa, joins this weekend's guests of the state, following his apprehension in a rape case reported to detectives last evening - Thursday, March 11.
A female victim who is a teacher at a secondary school within Machakos County, had requested the 31-year-old suspect to take her to the school, after running errands at Malaa shopping centre that run into the first hour of the night.
Unsuspicious that the rider who is known to her had evil plans, the 24-yr-old madam boarded the motorbike, setting her feet into her dragnet.
Once in the cover of darkness at Misuuni feeder road, the suspect dragged the victim to the road side, restraining her before committing the heinous act.
Distress calls from the lady who was helplessly fighting back attracted a handful of locals who were walking to their homes, but the suspect managed to escape.
On receiving the report, detectives immediately launched an overnight manhunt for Nyonga, before nabbing him at his hideout at the wee hours of today.
Nyonga will be arraigned on Monday.
