Road Accident

Kenyans React After Newly Opened Footbridge At Pipeline Becomes a Business Hub

The newly opened Footbridge at pipeline along Outering Road has been taken over by business people who have paraded their merchandise beside the walkway rendering movement of those it was constructed for very difficult. The Footbridge is nolonger serving the purpose for which it was built to help the pedestrians cross safely as some unconcerned Kenyans have seen it as stalls to sell their merchandise.

According to photos shared by Ma3Route,the traders taken one side of the Footbridge and pedestrians have to find their way through to the other side.

Kenyans are calling upon Kenya National Highways Authority,KeNHA and Kenya Urban Roads Authority, KURA to look into the matter and salvage the situation.

"@KeNHA,@KURA roads, the recently built Footbridge at pipeline along Outering Road,it's now a business hub. It does not serve the purpose." Ma3Route shared.

The footbridges were built in major Nairobi Highways to help reduce road accidents between vehicles and the pedestrians and this practise is hindering this sole purpose for which it was built.
