Kasarani roundabout is known for it's busy activities and human traffic. The roundabout which is in Thika road underpass is used by motorists heading to Roysambu, Mwiki, Kasarani and Kahawa. A slight incident makes the road impassable and sometimes the traffic jam here goes to a halt for even hours.
Currently police who control traffic at the roundabout are solving a minor accident case where a Githurai based public service bus and a personal car have had a back collision, this has blocked the service lane creating a major traffic congestion. The incident has created inconvenience to drivers and passengers who are headed to town. Passengers have alighted the bus and resulted to other means to continue with the journey.
Drivers are advised to use different routes, such as the over pass, and the far exit lane next to Thika road mall. This will help save time. Pedestrians also can access services past the roundabout towards town where the overpass is connecting with a diversion through Kasarani Sports centre and the service lane. We hope that police will solve the problem fast for smooth flow of traffic.
