Former Kenyan Power employee Careen Chepchumba was strangled and killed. Careen, who was dating former television newscaster Louis Otieno, was discovered dead in an apartment in Kilimani's Santonia Court on February 14, 2012.

The attacker's pressure on her neck caused bleeding from her eyes and neck muscles, according to an autopsy.

Lucy Njambi

Her ex-husband, an MCA, murdered her. Politicians allegedly paid two men to carry out the plan along Kamiti Road in Kiambu County on January 26, 2018, following domestic affairs.

She was kidnapped and brought to the Sasini Coffee Estate, where she was stripped naked, raped, beaten, and drenched in sulfuric acid.

Her previous love and the father of her children, a KDF officer, murdered her in Nanyuki in 2019. According to investigators, Major Peter Mugure asked Joyce Sombua to take their two children to the Laikipia Air Base in Nanyuki to catch up before their birthdays.

Syombua, Shanice, and Michael vanished on October 26 after visiting the soldiers at Nanyuki's workplace. Three of them were discovered roped together, stuffed into a jute bag, and buried in a shallow grave.
