Kiambaa by-election is taking the centre stage of the mainstream media and social media as it is drawing nearer. It is a highly contested seat pitting UDA and Jubilee Party, which is the ruling party.
UDA proponents have decried intimidations and frustrations from Police as instructed by the government. More often, their campaigns have been distrupted by the police.
Today, UDA had organized a football competition among players of four wards in kiambaa. The competition was set to be held at Karuri primary school but police have been deployed to ward off UDA followers.
The field had been payed for but jubilee wants to hijack the same field for their campaign meeting. Why is the government frustrating UDA? This is an act of cowardice and a sense of defeat.
A resounding defeat is awaiting Jubilee if this their norm of campaigning. UDA's chief blogger has vowed to go on with their football competitions.
