Gatanga region in Murang’a County is currently mourning three deaths whereby a mother poisoned her two children to death and then committed suicide in the same house today according to a Facebook post by Murang’a Newspaper.
“Sad! A mother has killed her two children by poisoning, commits suicide in the same house in Gatanga, Murang'a County. More to follow, remember to follow us for this update in a few minutes,” the post read. It has not yet been established why the woman committed the heinous crime.
In the pictures attached alongside the post, the corpse of the woman can be seen dangling from the roof of the house. The bodies of the two kids dressed in white clothes are still lying in a bed with a thick blanket on the side.
Facebook users were shocked to hear the news with some writing that similar incidents have been reported before in the county.
