Police officers are usually tasked with risky work of ensuring that they maintain peace and order, as well as help in controlling any threat from individuals who threaten the well being of citizens no matter how heavily armed they are.

Some few weeks ago, a random gunman stormed the streets of Ali Hassan Mwinyi in Dar es Salaam where he gunned down four individuals including four officers.
Some brave police officers responded to the distress call and managed to contain the gunman who was later on identified as Hamza Mohammed.
According Tanzanian news outlet Mwanahabari, the police officers who responded and helped to contain the threat from the gunman have been rewarded for the good work they did.
The officers who received the recognition and reward included: Adam Malya, Mashaka Magaji, Manfred Mrope, Majige Chuma, Faraji Hemed, Albano Mwalunda, Juma Chacha, John Alex, Issa Godwin, Halifa Mrutu and Selenga Nyagawa.
"We should always remember that our officers tasks are usually the hardest to cope with unlike how people think. They are given a hard task that exceeds only protecting the citizens and their property." The police boss addressed during the award giving.
