Catholic Church in Mwingi to hold a special Mass on 9th Dec in honour of the 32 people who perished on River Enziu in Nguni on Saturday.
Divers retrieved seven more bodies Sunday from the bus that plunged into the bridge by the killer bridge, bringing the death toll from the tragedy to atleast 32.
The bus was ferrying the church choir members and its occupants to a wedding in Kitui on Saturday when it veered off over and plunged inside the fast-flowing waters as the driver attempt to steer a submerged bridge.
The wreckage of the ill-fated bus was recovered on Sunday at around 7 pm with some bodies still trapped in it.
The bodies found so far were 33 by Sunday. Relatives of the victims toured Mwingi Level 4 Hospital for identification.
Kitui Health Minister, Winnie Kitetu added that DNA on the remains of the kids will be done and produced by Friday.
Kitui County Catholic Bishop, Joseph Mwongela confirmed that the bodies of all the Catholic Church choir members who were drowned have been found.
