Recently, the report by Citizen's investigative journalist Purity Mwambia had trend after she. revealed that security officers were aiding criminals by hiring them crude weapons and millitary uniforms.
The report had worried Kenyans but many were glad that atleast the DCI was going to respond by dealing with those involved in the offences.
Ironically, through a televised press conference yesterday, the Director of Criminal Investigations Boss George Kinoti rubbished the report claiming that i wasn't genuine. He instead summoned the concerned royal media officials including Purity Mwambia who carried out the investigations.
“This gun is a copy of the Russian AK-47 made in China, its parts are also from different guns as their serials do not correspond with the guns serial number,” he said.
Today, according to Modern Kenyan Corps facebook page,it is reported that the security details of RMS Director S.K Macharia has been withrawn. The DCI had also ordered all the RMS editors and reporters involved in the expose to reach the DCI offices today at exactly 8:30AM.
