The police from Nyamira county have started investigations on the cause of fire that burnt and killed w man.According to the chief of Ebate location Mr.Pater Makori,the resident informed them about the incident."I was informed and witnessed the bad incident ' He said.photo:Residents at the scene.
He reported that the fire seemed to start from one corner and burnt the whole house. The owner was burnt beyond recognition in the inferno.The police from Keroka station icollected the remains of the body and took it to Gucha hospital mortuary to await burial. Their early investigation indicated that the fire might have beenn started by a fault in the electrical connection.They appealed to the home owners to engage certified electricians to connect electrity wires at their himes.photo:Police.
The police boss identified the body as Yuvinals Kennedy of Ribate location in Nyamira county.He asked the residents to be keepers of their own brothers in order to live harmoniously in the area.He said that his officers were still evaluating the extent of the damage and it's implied costs.photo:The burnt house.
The officer asked the Nyumba Kumi and community policing groups to educate the locals on the importance of personal security ."The government takes care of its people but personal security is Paramount."He advised.
