Cases of people ending the lives of their family members have been rampant in the country.

Residents of Poroko village are still reeling in shock after a 17-year-old boy brutally murdered his aunt and her three children, among them, an unborn infant.
The suspect, a Standard Eight pupil, is said to have killed her by stabbing her in the head, chest and other parts of her body.
Her went ahead and strangled his cousins by twisting off their heads. He took their bodies to a maize plantation, far away from their home.

A neigbour disclosed that they heard screams from the home of the slain woman but they were drowned out in heavy rain.
According to reports, it has emerged that the boy has been serving a probationary sentence for stealing from the woman.
Reports indicate that the suspect had stolen a radio and utensils including cups and plates from her house. The deceased pleaded with police not to jail him because she thought such an act would jeopardise her relationship with her close relatives.
