Eng John Mosonik joined Mochoget single mothers group in Singorwet ward,Bomet central constituency,Bomet county for empowerment exercise.This move will help the mothers continue with their life smoothly.
Mosonik said empowering women promotes their sense of self-worth,their ability to determine their own choices and their right to influence change in their families and the entire society hence improving their living standards in the area.
He said the group has been hiring out tents but with limited chairs hence his decision to donate 100 plastic chairs in support of their venture.He said they are doing this to empower them to ensure they are living safe,fulfilled and productive lives so they can reach their full potential. John Mosonik said his leadership will continue to value their contribution in the society and support them because they are great agents of change. When women are empowed they will be able to feed and cloth their families on their own rather than depending on other people for assistance.Through this empowerment also their children will be able to go to school with no worry.
