On Friday, April 30,2021,Cabinet Secretary for Interior & Coordination of National Government,Dr Fred Matiang'i banned intimate relationships between police officers, sparking mixed reactions across the country.
The CS had taken the initiative in a bid to curb rising incidents of deaths arising from gender-based violence among police spouses. However, Kenyans on various social media platforms saw the funny side of the story, photos of beautiful police officers doing rounds on the platforms since Friday.
While some Kenyans told off CS Matiang'i, saying that he can't control matters of the heart,others saw an opportunity to shoot their shot. With their male counterparts out of the equation,the female officers can now give a listening ear to the common man on the streets.
