Business Came to a standstill in Sigor town of Bomet county as locals hit the streets to condemn police brutality. A young man from the area was Beaten to death by police officers enforcing curfew orders .
The man is said to have been kicked on the stomach and ribs by the Sigor police station officer. He with others were found in a drinking joint past curfew hours. His peers managed to escape the wrarg of the officers leaving him at their mercies. He was beaten, kicked to pulp . He was then left lying on the ground.
He was found in the morning by business owners unconscious, good samaritans helped him to the nearby Sigor sub county hospital. He was referred to Longisa county referral hospital where he succumbed to the injuries.
His brother while narrating the ordeal to TAACH FM reporter said , "He had broken ribs , injuries on the stomach . Seeing the X-ray picture was shocking. Why would anyone beat someone like that ? ," Kirui asked .
The locals demanded for immediate arrest of the officer in question . They added that he is known for his brutality .
