Tragedy struck Kitui County after a school bus that was ferrying faithfuls of the Catholic Church to a wedding plunged into a river.
The school bus plunged into the river while attempting to cross swollen river Enziu in Nguni, in Mwingi leading to the death of more than 20 people and survival of at least 12.
Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has today met families of the victims of the Mwingi bus incident when he fellowshiped at Muithi Catholic Church before visiting survivors at the Mwingi General Hospital.
Kalonzo has mourned with the families who lost their loved ones as a result of the accident and sent his messages of condolence to the families.
"I met with the families of the members of the Muithi Catholic Church who lost their lives tragically at River Enzui today. I later visited the survivors at the Mwingi General Hospital.I continue praying for our Almighty God's guiding comfort for all the families," Kalonzo Musyoka said.
