A Man Arrested In Litein For Stealing His Uncle Cow And Trying To Sell It In Local Livestock Market

A man has been arrested in Litein township by police officers for stealing a cow in the neighbouring Konoin sub county in Bomet.

A middle aged man Victor Kipbett was found trying to sell an ashyire cow at Litein livestock market.

Confirmed source who talked to this opera news writer,says that the owner of the cow went to the cowshed in the morning but found his cow missing.

The source further say that the owner immediately raised an alarm and alerted people in nearby livestock markets.

The coordinators of market at Litein became suspicious of a man in the market and when interrogated he could not account for the cow he had in the market.

They informed police officers who came and arrested him.The cow was taken to the station and was later identified positively by the owner who is the uncle to the suspect.

The suspect was later transfered to Konoin and to be arraigned in court for a crime of stock theft.
