Details Emerge That Late IEBC Officer Was Diabetic, His Stomach Was Empty When He Died

A team of five pathologists who operated on the body of the slain Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) staff Daniel Musyoka failed to ascertain the cause of death.

The pathologists agreed there was no outright cause of death. The people responsible for Musyoka's death were quite careful and meticulous with everything they did.

The family of Musyoka has disclosed that their kin was diabetic.

Musyoka’s brother, Jackson Muimi, said that his brother was diabetic and that the pathologists confirmed that Musyoka’s stomach was empty without a trace of food substance when he died.

As a result, samples were collected for further forensic analysis after the four-hour exercise.

Musyoka was assigned to Embakasi East Constituency as the Returning Officer in the Tuesday, August 9 elections.

Investigations reveal that the deceased had packed his belongings at his Nairobi residence and left all the IEBC kits at the tallying centre.

According to IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati, Musyoka’s death was occasioned by his firm stand to uphold integrity in the electoral process.
