Photos: Demolitions In Mukuru Kwa Njega Slums To Pave Way For Road Construction Leaves Several Homeless.

There are heavy and widespread demolitions ongoing in Mukuru kwa Njega slums and this is being undertaken by the government to pave way for the construction of a new road.
The new road that is being constructed will cut across the slum and link other roads. The houses being demolished are those that we're built on road reserves and this demolition exercise has left several families and person's homeless.
As the demolitions went on, there was a very heavy presence of police in the area to facilitate the smooth flow of the demolitions.
