Abducted Woman Found With Hands Strapped To Steering Wheel, Dutch National Boyfriend Killed

Police officers in Kisauni area in Mombasa County are probing circumstances over the death of a Dutch national and the alleged abduction of his girlfriend on Friday, June 4.

According to the police reports, at 7am Friday, an unidentified person notified Bamburi Police Station noting she had spotted an abducted lady abandoned in a car at Serena area.

“The person reportedly said that the lady identified as Riziki Cherono, was abandoned to the area from her Bamburi residence by her alleged kidnappers,” a report registered at the Bamburi Police Station under the OB Number 6/4/6/2021 said.

“Police cops raced to the said-scene and found the lady’s hands strapped to the steering wheel,” read the report.

The law enforcement police officers untied the woman and then accompany her to her apartment, where they found her Dutchman boyfriend, 55, lying abandoned in bed with hands and legs tied using a rope and mouth gagged.

On further studying the deceased identified as Herman Rouwenhorst, the police found out he was already died.

Outside the residential house, was an unconscious watchman identified only as Evans, who was bleeding profusely.

Police note a preliminary statement registered at the station revealed that the couple’s killers assaulted Rouwenhorst before kidnapping his lover, Riziki.

Rouwenhorst’s body was moved to Pandya Memorial Hospital morgue pending autopsy.
