Why Matiang'i Should Visit Nyakach, In Kisumu County To Resolve Rising Crime Cases

Residents of lower Nyakach decrying the rampant coordinated sexual attacks, targeting widows and school going girls.

According to Victone Ochieng’ who talked to Citizen Television documents the cases in the area, the sex offenders usually break in between 2 and 4 am with a bright torch and a knife, gives the victims detailed accounts of their (the victim’s) movement, rapes them, issues a threat before walking away with their mobile phones to hamper communication.

He mentioned an incident where three sisters were repeatedly defiled in their grandmother’s house, by one man who held the girls hostage using a knife for hours this year in February.

Agoro West chief Elizabeth Atieno who commented on the matter decry the slow wheels of justice making and giving the perpetrators sense of security. She added that no arrest has been made so far putting the lives of women and girls at risk as the culprits are still at large.

Many residents are now living in fear and calling for the police to up their games in apprehending these culprits who have made raping women and girls a habit. What do you think about this
