According to the report shared by the Kenya Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall is expected over several parts of the Highlands of West Rift Valley, North Western Kenya and the Highlands East of Rift Valley. However, occasional rainfall is also expected to in the South Eastern Lowlands and Northeastern Kenya. Contrary, the Coastal region is also likely to be generally dry.
The weatherman also revealed that occasional cloudness is expected over several parts of the Highlands East of Rift Valley, Central Rift Valley and South Eastern region of the country.
Strong southeasterly winds with speed exceeding 25 knots are expected over several parts of the coastal region.
Remember the mandate of the KMD is to provide timely early warning weather and climate information for safety of life, protection of property and conservation of natural environment. The mandate is enchored on executive orders on the structure and organisation of the Kenya and World Meteorological Organisation Convention.
Therefore the following Counties will receive heavy rains from tomorrow, Kirinyaga, Embu, Meru, Kiambu, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Murang'a, Kiambu, Narok, Migori, Nandi, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nakuru, Bometi, Kisumu, Migori, Homabay, Busia, Kericho, Nakuru, Bometi and Kakamega.
