The Chief Justice of Kenya, Martha Koome, has this morning officiated over the ceremony of swearing on Leonard Mambo Mbotela as a member of the National Heroes Council.
Through her Official Social Media Handle, the Chief Justice of Kenya, Martha Koome officiated over the function that was attended by tens of Kenyans earlier on this morning.
Leonard Mambo Mbotela will be among the few chosen and appointed by the President of Kenya, National Heroes Council members.

Here is the statement from Chief Justice Martha Koome this morning after the function, "I witnessed the swearing-in of one Leonard Mambo Mbotela as a member of the National Heroes Council following his much overdo appointment last month.
The mandate of the National Heroes Council which now has Leonard Mambo Mbotela, includes the identification, as well as selection and honouring of national heroes across the country as an important one as our national story is largely the narrative of the contribution by our many heroes to the nation building."
