The rate at which conmen and women are stealing money from other people's Mpesa accounts is on a high level. These scammers are using many tricks to make sure they access people's accounts and later steal from them.
These thieves have come up with different ways to steal money from people's accounts and this has made many people worried. I will share with you some of latest ways these people are using to access your accounts.
1.They pretend they have send you money by mistake.
First,you will receive a message that you have received an amount of money. They will forward to you an Mpesa message using a certain number then they will call you using the same number claiming that they have send the money wrongly. You will realize that when you check your Mpesa balance, there is no any money send to you. Please don't fall into their trap,don't resend any money.
2.You will receive a phone call that your line have been replaced.
This people will call you claiming that they are officials working with Safaricom claiming that your line needs to be registered against since it has been replaced. They will claim for your private information like Your I'd number,Your Mpesa pin and many more. Please don't listen to them they are conmen.
The only Safaricom number used to call their clients is 0722000000. Don't fall into traps of people claiming to be Safaricom officials. When you receive such calls from scammers, please report them by sending that number to 333.This will greatly help you.
