Uasin Gishu Kikuyu Council of Elders Chairman Kamunu wa Kabari Laid to Rest

Uasin Gishu Kikuyu Council of Elders spokesman Mzee Kamuni was finaly laid to rest to his rural home in Yamumbi.

The deceased died after battling with stroke.

Speaking during his burial ceremony Kapseret member of parliament Oscar Sudi described the deceased as a hardworking and a person who loved peace. 

He was fond of   preaching peace, cohesion, and unity among the locals in the largely cosmopolitan region.

"On behalf of the people of Kapseret and my family , I would like to send message of condolences to the family and friends of the deceased, mzee was a God fearing and down to earth individual who loved peace," said Sudi while speaking to the press.

Kamunu wa Kabari  was instrumental in preaching peace and always called in Uasin Gishu residents to live harmoniously with one another especially this year when the country is heading to elections.

Soy member of parliament Caleb Kositany decaeribed the deceased as a peace icon who will be missed especially this time when the country is heading towards the 2022 general elections.

"My deepest sympathies goes to the family, friends and residents of Yamumbi, Langas Ward, Kapseret Constituency for the loss of Samuel Kamunu Kabari(Kikuyu Council of Elders spokesman in Uasin Gishu County).
